** And the match continues into DAY THREE **
Today, in my sleep-deprived state, I am watching Wimbledon. The actual tennis stuff, not the weird movie.
And it brought me back to Sean's blessing day. We were all ready for church. Sean in his adorable little white jumper, me trying to look smaller/less fat-face, and Brian dressed as usual and with a blue tie on. At that time we were also watching Wimbledon.
But this wasn't any ordinary match, it was the final. Between Nadal and Federer. Epic. Beautiful. Back and forth they volleyed, the match was nice and long, neither really getting ahead of the other.
Then it was 2PM, church being at 2:30. And they were still playing. Quadruple tie-breaks. 5th set finally seeming like it would end and we wouldn't be late. But then it just didn't end. It kept going. And going. But then Nadal finally won it outright, conveniently in time for us to head out for church and be a little early still. (2:20) It was very kind of them to take our time-constraints into account when ending their game.
And today's Mahut/Isner match. Fifth set going into the thirties. Will. It. Ever. End. ? Yes. But man, 7+ hours for one tennis match is way too much. But it's to the point for them that they might as well keep going and ensure that this length of match is a record that can't be broken any time soon.

Little Sean
My baby boy turned two today.
He is losing his fat, kissable cheeks and tummy, exchanging them for long, lean muscles and the ability to run, throw and kick.
I love him so much it hurts and makes me cry, but I am glad to feel it.
I'm so grateful to have him and that he's all mine for a couple more years.
May he grow taller than me, have better coordination (which at two he already does) and always love learning as much as he does now.
I thank the Lord every day for him and everything about him. Even his fake cry that is too convincing. I am glad that he's my son forever and ever.
