Sweetness!

For most of you, this may sound a little strange. But I am SO EXCITED that there are THREE WALGREENS being built/i have discovered in Utah County. And these are just three that I am aware of. For some reason, this makes this place that I live feel more like home. Probably because it's one of the only familiar things from home that didn't exist here. Until now. To further my excitement, Brian just bought a couple things from there on his way home from work. I'm overflowing with joy. The one thing about this that could make me happier is to take a trip there myself and buy some makeup.

Today I discovered my cousin's blog. It's funny to remember back in the day when what brought me the most joy was following her and my other two cousins around at family get-togethers. Now, having grown up and whatnot, I haven't done that for a while, but I still love seeing them and i'm excited to know that we share more things in common than i thought. It's so sad that I didn't realize this until today. Last time i saw them i was trying to eat food and figure out how to balance out my time with family, my friends, and the random friends that Brian has in Mesa/Gilbert. It's so unfortunate, too, that i've been afraid of just being seen as a little tag-a-long again to the point that i just don't talk. I mean, i'm not a self-conscious 13-year old anymore, right? Well, i'm going to do better. So there. That means i have much to improve upon this April when i'm down at home for a few days and seeing family.

I've been trying to figure out how i'm going to get my research papers done. I know that it only requires my sitting down and doing them, but when? It doesn't help that the three classes with these ridiculous papers are also giving me ridiculous reading assignments. I still have to read "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" - and that's just the next 2 weeks for one class. Geez people! Do you want a coherent paper? :) I'm sure i'll manage like i usually do. But i'm still bitter-esque about it.

We're moving so soon! Woohoo!

Brian's Song

So, apparently "Brian's Song" is a movie from the 70's that has the guy who played Lando Calrissian in it.  I've never seen it, but it seemed like a good name for a blog post.

Tay is currently busy being pregnant, so I figured I'd post my first substantial blog post.  Life is getting more and more hectic.  In the next couple of months we're hoping to buy a home, Tay will graduate from college, and then the baby will come.  We still haven't settled on a name for him, but have taken to calling him Li'l Charlie.  This is because Tay got a little Teddy Bear for Christmas that she named Charlie.  Here's  a picture of Charlie:

Interestingly enough, Li'l Charlie is bigger than Big Charlie.

Anyways, enough about unborn babies.  Let's talk about important things that Tay will never talk about.  So, while we were researching neighborhoods that we are considering buying in, I discovered a cool new feature of Google Maps : Street View.  In certain markets (and Utah is one of them), you can actually "drive" down streets and see what they look like.

For example, check out LaVell Edwards Stadium.  From here you can cruise around Provo. You may recognize some people or objects that were in view when the camera van drove by (such as Tay's van parked at my parents house).  As you can imagine, this has come in handy when checking out listings we're considering buying.  You can also take pretend vacations to NYC or San Fran.  Our check out sites from the mission.  The possibilities are endless.  Of course, many people are concerned about privacy violations, but I say just don't do things in public you'd be ashamed of later, and you'll be fine.  Let me know what you think.

Tired.

So, having the best husband in the world has its downfalls. For example, I get awfully scared sometimes at night, mostly of things I create in my fascinating imagination. However fascinating it is, I let it get out of control. It doesn't help when i watch scary things like "I Am Legend." So, lately I keep fearing crazy zombie deformed humans in addition to the thieves and rapists that are constantly lurking outside of my house every night (because Provo is really a bad place...). Basically, when this happens, Brian offers to switch sides of the bed so that he sleeps on the outside and I'm in the corner. Unfortunately, my wonderful husband has a really hard time sleeping 'not in his spot' which means that whenever he wakes up and tries to get comfortable, I wake up and can't fall asleep again. sigh. How is it that his good will has to make things so complicated? So, now I struggle with either being so scared that I can't fall asleep or waking up throughout the night but not scared at all. :) it's really not a bad struggle, but it makes me grumpy in the mornings.  -Tay

She quite literally woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  -Brian

Some of why I love Brian...

He does funny things. :)
He knows how much I love daisies!

He does dinner dishes - willingly.

Valentines Day Flowers

A pregnant picture.

This is a picture of me at 20 weeks.
As you can see, I'm not really showing...

Valentine's Day

Someday I'll figure out picture loading.
Valentine's Day was a good day. I got home early and made the most delicious pork chop dinner Brian has ever had, which is saying a lot because I am the best cook ever. He, the amazing husband that his is, brought home a bouquet of pretty pretty flowers and a carmel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. If you haven't had their Apple Pie carmel apples, you are missing out on a piece of heaven. I got him a box of Hershey's Pot of Gold chocolates. We're sharing, by the way. Oh, and the BYU Bookstore was selling cinnamon lips (like the bears) so I got Brian a bunch of those and covered the table with them. It had quite the pleasing effect. And then the card I made him. It was a very good evening. We both enjoyed each other's company immensely.
I wonder what next year will be like. How will we celebrate it with a little munchkin? I guess we'll find out. Maybe i'll have a few more minutes to do the finishing touches I couldn't do because I had to read volumes and write a paper. I'm so glad that I got such an amazing husband! I'm so excited for next year - new things are so much more fun now that I have Brian!

Good news!

We are going to have a baby boy on June 22nd! The doctor said that everything looks great and perfectly on time. I'm pretty excited for this kiddo to be here. Hopefully we'll start getting serious about that whole name thing. Meanwhile, I'll just keep writing my papers and trying not to be exhausted all the time. Another thing is that i have no idea what i should buy right now. Should I wait until we move? And there's the problem that i don't know what i want. Natural wood? Cherry? Honey? White? Should I just prep myself with clothes? Honestly, i don't even have enough maternity clothes. Oh well. Brian seems to be pretty excited about the whole thing. :) I am too, I guess i just show it a bit more calmly. :D
