YES

Good News:
For a couple of days, the little boy had made my tummy drop to the point where i struggled with my pants. Today, he moved. Woohoo! That may have been more information than you wanted.

One thing that has been on my mind is the subject of my friend Greta. yes, i will single her out. Whenever I talk to her or read her blog, the world becomes brighter. I have a feeling that it's her personality. She is incredibly intelligent and whenever she makes a joke, it's actually funny. Hers is a personality that I envy. Don't worry, i have full confidence in my own. i just have been meaning to say that about her for a while.

We moved!

That's right people, we're now "official" residents of Pleasant Grove, UT. Doesn't that sound nice? Well, we enjoyed our first night here and hopefully we will always sleep so deeply. :) Brian insisted on getting our bedroom completely set up, so i got virtually nothing done homework-wise, but that's ok. I didn't want to do it anyway.

It's interesting to know that as empty as this place feels right now, it will just accumulate more stuff. I am proud to say that in the past year we haven't really accumulated much on our own. Mostly just furniture (big ones). And stuff from Tennessee that is mostly Brian's. I guess I should expect my mom to make me take my stuff back up here now that we have some space. I keep hoping that she'll wait until we have a girl, but whatever is fine, i guess. So, that would make brian and i even in our contribution to excess stuff. All i've really added so far are lots of paper and tons of books. And the good news is that I have little or no desire to add a whole lot more stuff to our accumulations. Maybe i'll feel differently when i feel like shopping.

I am done with school on Wednesday and then i will go to Mesa and sleep and party and buy brian a couple of presents for his birthday. Which was last thursday. (i'm a little behind this year.)

I have a lot of picture frames. I need to buy wedding pictures to fill them. I'm a little behind with that one, too. School sucks for this reason.

Rambling.

woohoo! It's the end of the semester! I know that i should feel a LOT more stressed than I do, but I don't. I just feel chill about the whole thing because i know that I'm doing my best and putting in as much effort as I can handle and it will work out.

Baby update. He seems to be of a normal size. My doctor never has to ask me if he moves because whenever she tries to check his heartbeat, he kicks off the monitor thing she's holding (literally, kicks off, like it bounces off of me) or rolls away so she loses the sound. I have mixed feelings about this kid's attitude. Meanwhile, I keep collecting way cute baby stuff from people. THANK YOU ALL! I love baby stuff. I feel very heavy - not so much fat or more awkward that i am naturally, just heavy. Luckily i carry around a backpack all day so i don't fall forward. It's kinda weird to gain 20 pounds in one area of the body. A little overwhelming. And he still thinks he needs more room. The nerve kids have.

My wonderful visiting teachers are coming this week to help me pack. I still can't decide what to have them do. I suppose i'll think about that at work. It's kinda hard to pack other peoples' stuff, so i usually give people assignments so they don't feel useless like i usually feel when i help others move. Hopefully they still like me afterwards.

We bought a washer and dryer which is good news - now i know that we won't be leaving our house with dirty clothes ever again! (hopefully). Some bad news - brian's parents' washer flooded part of their house. Expensive. It damaged the basement drywall, so that should add extra fun to their lives. This has convinced me that our next place will be a rambler - one story house. That way there's only one level to clean up. In my mind, it's so much simpler that way. We also bought a glider. This was a smart purchase. It's currently the only piece of furniture we own that i can sit on without feeling like i'm about to die after an hour of paper writing. :)

I feel excited to be going home for a short visit instead of walking at graduation. It feels like a good decision. While i'm down in Mesa, i looks as though my amazing sister-in-law is going to paint my kitchen and bedroom (because i can't handle their current colors for some reason). This will be so nice because then i won't have to worry about so many paint fumes. :)

My next doctor appointment is in one week, which means that is when i post my next pregnant picture. Part of me hopes that i'm not too much bigger than the last one...

Accomplishments

I just wanted everybody to know that I have mastered the art of holding an apple that I am eating in one hand while I am typing - typing with both hands. Yes, this is an art. And I'm sure my mother has never been more proud of me.

Another accomplishment is that I am starting to understand how to write a paper effectively. It just clicked. It's a good thing I'm graduating in two weeks. I learned the skill they've been trying to teach me for four years.

more pics

So, I'm not sure on the week for the first one, but the second one is from today - approximately 28 weeks. Well, who knows how much bigger I'm gonna get!

Sweetness!

For most of you, this may sound a little strange. But I am SO EXCITED that there are THREE WALGREENS being built/i have discovered in Utah County. And these are just three that I am aware of. For some reason, this makes this place that I live feel more like home. Probably because it's one of the only familiar things from home that didn't exist here. Until now. To further my excitement, Brian just bought a couple things from there on his way home from work. I'm overflowing with joy. The one thing about this that could make me happier is to take a trip there myself and buy some makeup.

Today I discovered my cousin's blog. It's funny to remember back in the day when what brought me the most joy was following her and my other two cousins around at family get-togethers. Now, having grown up and whatnot, I haven't done that for a while, but I still love seeing them and i'm excited to know that we share more things in common than i thought. It's so sad that I didn't realize this until today. Last time i saw them i was trying to eat food and figure out how to balance out my time with family, my friends, and the random friends that Brian has in Mesa/Gilbert. It's so unfortunate, too, that i've been afraid of just being seen as a little tag-a-long again to the point that i just don't talk. I mean, i'm not a self-conscious 13-year old anymore, right? Well, i'm going to do better. So there. That means i have much to improve upon this April when i'm down at home for a few days and seeing family.

I've been trying to figure out how i'm going to get my research papers done. I know that it only requires my sitting down and doing them, but when? It doesn't help that the three classes with these ridiculous papers are also giving me ridiculous reading assignments. I still have to read "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" - and that's just the next 2 weeks for one class. Geez people! Do you want a coherent paper? :) I'm sure i'll manage like i usually do. But i'm still bitter-esque about it.

We're moving so soon! Woohoo!
